My wife absolutely loves it when I make Honey Garlic Chick Peas. It’s one of her top favorite meals that I make at home. Since we make those quite often and incorporate chick peas in our diet whenever possible, I decided to kick it up a notch and make some Honey Garlic Shrimp. This is definitely something that I would eat with my Homemade Special Fried Rice. Although I didn’t eat it with rice the first time around, you better believe the next time will. Seriously, who needs take out when you can make better food at home?!
Do any of you watch Vampire Diaries? Are you up-to-date? We do. Ugh. So I’m pretty down in the dumps that I have no more episodes of Vampire Diaries to watch. Sometimes, my wife and I let them acuminate on Hulu+ so that we can have a Vampire Diaries marathon. We had five episodes this last time and we watched them within two days. I’m so sad that I have to sit around and wait until next week’s episode. I vow to be on the ball about it this time around. But then I won’t have a marathon!! * sigh *
I swear I got so freaked out when Bonnie was hallucinating about taking off Caroline’s head. You should have seen the look on our faces! We immediately looked at each other with tears welling up in our eyes. Silly rabbits, we should have known better that they would never kill off Caroline from the series. After Elena was put in a box, I feel like Caroline’s character really came out to play. I am also super conflicted about the fact that she is engaged to Alaric but wants to get back with Stephen. She finally built such a wonderful life with him and their two beautiful twin girls. I get it…she’s in love with someone else but geez. How was she going to explain this to them? On top of the fact that they don’t even know she’s a vampire yet and that could really scare them. Anddddd, their father is a freaking vampire hunter! Crazy, huh? If you haven’t started watching, DO IT!
I feel so bad because I could totally tell that Caroline broke Ric’s heart; yet, at the same time to see the way Caroline’s eyes lit up from the moment she laid her eyes on Stephen for the first time in three years. When you think about it though, I don’t really think anyone misses Elena all that much. Sorry not sorry. I was so sick and tired of seeing everyone try and save her time and time again. The whole show was revolving around how to save Elena’s. I loved her character and all that she brought to the table until they got too carried away. I was almost willing to let the series go and stop watching until they killed her off. And, who knows? Maybe they will bring her back sooner than we think. And maybe we will love her again.
For now, I don’t really think that Bonnie is going anywhere so we will just have to wait and see. So while we all wait for the latest and greatest about the Vampire Diaries, make yourself a steaming bowl of my Homemade Special Fried Rice topped with our decadent Honey Garlic Shrimp. I can guarantee there will be no leftovers. Honey Garlic Shrimp also goes great with Netflix and Hulu+. * wink wink *
