Finance Fridays: Tax Day

It’s that time of the week again and it’s time to cash your checks, kick back and hopefully relax a bit. Plus, it’s Finance Friday!

Today is an important day for everyone. Americans, that is. Either you made the deadline to file your taxes or you’re down in the dumps because you have to file for an extension. I know that it might mean another few months of a headache for you but that’s probably not the worst thing you’ve ever been through. Just chill out because there’s nothing worse than freaking out about something like taxes. Am I right or am I right?

You probably think you suck at life right now if you didn’t get it done but everyone has to do an extension at least once in their life. I had to file an extension of the year before last and I was basically pulling my hair. When it was all said and done, I couldn’t believe it wasn’t as painful as I thought it was going to be.

I honestly think that doing your own taxes is the easiest and I highly recommend TurboTax. If you have complex taxes, an Accountant is definitely the way to go.

I haven’t kept up to date every single week with Finance Fridays. Shit happens! I’m between working and traveling sometimes I just simply don’t have time. I’m trying to get better as it relates to talking about finances.

Any topics you would like to see spoken out here on the blog are more than welcome to be left in the comments so that I can get around to it. For today, I will leave it light and refreshing. Take a breather and enjoy your Friday. Even if you did have to file an extension. Relax and enjoy the weekend. Monday is just around the corner so you’ll get to it when you get to it and I promise you that you will live.
