Blanc de Blanc Champagne

To be welcomed to the venue, Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant on International Drive in the heart of Orlando, all guests were handed a glass of their Blanc de Blanc Champagne. The point of this was a champagne toast entrance but my wife and I took forever to get to the venue from the other venue. We had to drop Bentley Mac at home because he came with us to the wedding, obviously. But we didn’t want him going to the winery. Makes sense, huh? Well, my brother-in-law accidentally took our house and car keys with him to the winery so we noticed when we finished taking photos throughout Cypress Grove Gardens and he was almost there. We had to wait for him to turn around and bring the keys to FINALLY go drop the boy off at home.

Green apple, peach and lemon with floral notes are the perfect punch of sparkling champagne for a toast. We actually had refills of champagne go around because we had a heck of a toast. My dad went on and on, as he could do, and then my father-in-law gave a toast. And then, both mothers gave a toast. It was amazing and hysterical and emotional. I interpreted the whole thing, too. Because we had our best friends, Melissa and Chris, were there. There’s a sneak peak video clip on my Instagram feed somewhere.

Malbec

Our favorite red wine , when not from the Tuscan region, would have to be Malbec. Any kind of Malbec, actually. We always prefer something from Greve in Chianti. Since they’re a winery, that wasn’t an option. Malbec was our next best option. A bold yet refined red wine, showing cassis, cocoa, leather, and hints of lavender.

This was perfect for us two because we knew that would be what we would primarily drink and it would also match well for those who are red wine drinkers. We had an unlimited wine bar with our choice of selections: one champagne and two luxury wines. This way, we knew no one would be thirsty. The wine bar was my favorite thing. We even had a printable that went with it.

Cooper’s Hawk White

Cooper’s Hawk White is a white wine blend of two classic white wines we love, Riesling & Pinot Grigio. Hints of spiced pear, apricot, passionfruit, and sweet melon are joined by honey and floral notes. With this bittersweet, not too dry white wine blend, we knew we would hit the spot for our white wine drinkers on the guest list. Some people like Moscato but that just isn’t us.

The Riesling used in this blend is slightly sweet with aromas of key lime pie, mango, honeydew and apricot. The Pinot Grigio is light-bodied with refreshing acidity and aromas of peach, orange rind, and lemon. Both having citrus notes, the honey hints are pushed up and it’s just exquisite. We love this wine so much we snagged some to give as Christmas gifts.
